Where do I start for photographing???

Always a good question..where do you start??   Start with what you have!!   Remember.. the background is just that - a background.   It shouldn't be busy or distracting.   An area in the yard with greenery ... a blank wall... use what you have around you and be creative.   Do you have a park nearby??  Parks are great places to photograph... usually lots of open spaces and greenery..

This photo was taken in a local park....

This photo was taken at a local school... notice how the graffiti in the back adds
to the youthful look of this beautiful girl...

Sometimes just using a simple structure like a bridge works well...

Loved this little girl just sitting on a chair before a wedding.. I
antiqued it to give it a vintage look....

So just look around you for inspiration.   Using what you have available helps to make your photos different and more personalized.
